Our Group Classes are held in Rock Island
We ask that everyone try to come about 15 minutes early to let your pup explore and use the restroom prior to class.
For the class, you will need a high-value treat (bring your pup hungry) Mike trains with the bait and lure method. We have a lot of treats available for your pup to sample and to purchase.
The treat can be their kibble or whatever treat you have that they really like. We carry some single ingredient treats on hand that range from $9 to $25 a bag - freeze dried liver, chicken, fish, and more.
You can use a standard flat collar, martingale collar, or chest harness (no choke chains). You can use a correction prong collar in class, though per AKC guidelines, you cannot take the CGC test with a correction collar on. Additionally, you will need a 4 or 6-foot leash - not the retractable style.
We have a wide variety of leashes and collars in stock at the classroom too if you would like to pick up one that day.
Collars range from $9.00 to $32.00 and leashes range from $7.00 on up to $23 (tax included) for the leather leashes (we have plain leashes, multi-handle nylon, soft leather, and many colors to choose from).
A treat pouch is a great tool to have, not required - but very beneficial. Using treats to lure, holding the leash and extra treats can be cumbersome.
We have colored treat pouches ranging from $10 - $14 along with collars, leashes, and a variety of items if you need anything.
A few changes to the class due to the Canine Respiratory Disease that is being seen in Oregon and other states now.

We will not have a group water bowl - the pups will be ok for the short time of class, but if you want to bring your own water bowl or cup for your pup please feel free to do so. There is a kitchen sink in the classroom to access fresh water.
If your pup is sick or exhibiting these symptoms DO NOT come to class (just call or message us and we will get you in the next class):
Runny nose
runny eyes
eye discharge (yellow or green)
wet cough
or kennel / horsey cough
If you come to class and your pup is exhibiting these symptoms you will be asked to leave and will not be able to return without a cleared vet examination.
As usual you will have to have an updated copy of your vet records showing your pup is up to date on all Core Vaccines INCLUDING Bordetella vaccine
It is also recommended (but not required) to have the Canine Influenza A vaccine.
Your vet can email me the vaccination records or you can email them to me - whichever is easiest.
We restrict the number of pups we can accept into the class and require prepayment to be added to the roster.
Once the roster is full - we will close registration.
I can send you an invoice via QuickBooks for secure payment via Credit or Debit card or Apple Pay

You can pay via Venmo
